Meet Matt
Meet Matt
How do you say goodbye? You don’t! You remember!
I remember my husband as a loving, highly intelligent, motivated man. A devoted husband and father, fun loving brother, dedicated engineer, problem solver, inventor and jack of all trades. Not knowing how to do something never stopped Matt from doing it.
What does our family want you to know about Matt?
He lived his life by example. He was an honest, hard working, loving, dedicated man who never shyed away from work or a problem. He loved movies, woodworking, refurbishing old radios, and playing poker. His life was cut short by an awful thing called Central Nervous System (CNS) Lymphoma – gradually attacking his sight, his muscles, his speech, and finally his entire nervous system. He fought hard for five years but lost the battle June 14, 2013.
Let's beat cancer!
We want to help eradicate this disease. We want to remember our husband, father and brother. So we play poker! Matt loved playing Texas Hold’em. Often winning, but sometimes just going “All In” and losing early. Our poker tournament “All In to Beat Cancer” stems from Matt’s love of the game and his “All In” attitude.
Even if you aren’t a poker player, please find it in your heart to help us continue the hard fought fight against CNS Lymphoma. There is some good research being done and we want to help continue to fund that research. Donate by clicking on the button below. Any amount helps.
If you are a poker player, please join us for our Annual “All In To Beat Cancer” Poker Tournament. More details can be found by clicking below.
